Justice for Incarcerated Moms Act (H.R. 9817) – introduced by Rep. Ayanna Pressley on July 21, 2026, now at 43 co-sponsors (all Democrats). Would fund improved perinatal care in federal custody and restrict the use of restraints on pregnant people, authorizing $10M/year for FY2027–2031 for federal prison programs plus $10M/year for a state grant program. Part of the Black Maternal Health Momnibus package.
